After my tenure with Pablo Cruise ended due to the failure of their final album "Out Of Our Hands", I moved to Los Angeles with a lot of referrals and was hired after 5 days to do a recording with Evelyn King. Within 6 weeks, the song "Action" was burning it up on the charts and you could hear my percussion work all over the nation. It was a great bit of fortune, as most people pay more dues before they wind up on a hit and it was the first recording I did in Los Angeles. It was one of those uncanny twists of fate I'll never forget. It was a cool way to begin my life in LA.
